 The family of Late Gospel singer, Eric Arubayi, has issued an official statement about his life.

The statement released reads:

“Today we celebrate the life and Glorious Ascension of our father, husband, brother, son and friend, Eric Arubayi, who went to be with the Lord on Saturday, 11th February 2017.

We are truly honoured that God chose us as the channel through which He released such a wonderful, helping and inspiring gift to the world. We are touched by messages of love we have received from all friends and well wishers of the family.

We are inspired by His life and have become testaments of His Impact around the world. Till we meet to part no more, rest in the bosom of the Lord. We all Love you Eric, but God loves you more".

May his soul rest in peace.

The Nigerian musician who was very popular in the 1970s and '80s has been comfirmed dead. Our sources say he died on sunday, the 15th of January, 2017 at the age of 72 years. During his time, he put out eight albums of layered, wildly imaginative synth-funk. He halted recording in the mid-1980s when he converted to Christianity. Since then, if you mention his life in music around him, he stops the conversation dead. Before devoting himself to Jesus, Onyeabor made extended call-and-response disco-funk jams driven by the space-age sound of synthesizers and drum machines — very new tools at the time he was recording, especially in Africa. Combining these new sounds with Nigerian funk, Onyeabor made music that was exceptionally innovative and great to dance to. Some of his hit tracks were Good name, great lover, when the going is going good and so on. His old jam "When the going is smooth and good" inspired Timaya and Flavour's recent hit song "Money"
1970s and '80s Music lovers all over Nigeria will miss this talented musician. May his soul rest in peace!

This 10-year-old’s rendition of “Hallelujah” would have given Leonard Cohen himself chills.

Kaylee Rodgers, a student who has autism and ADHD, sang the solo part for the famous tune during her school choir concert at Killard House School in Donaghadee, Northern Ireland, and the performance went viral.

Rodgers’ voice is stunningly beautiful ― and she exudes confidence while she sings with her classmates.

Tracy Rodgers, Kaylee’s mother, told the BBC that Kaylee’s music teacher, Lloyd Scates, played a huge part in nurturing her special talent.

“She always loved singing, but it wasn’t until she started at Killard House School that she really came into her own,” she told BBC. “[Mr. Scates is] like her safety blanket ― he’s amazing.”

Killard House principal Colin Millar told ITV that Kaylee was very shy when she started at the school. She “wouldn’t really read out in class,” he said. So “to stand and perform in front of an audience is amazing ... It takes a lot of effort on Kaylee’s part.”

The video was posted to Facebook and YouTube, where it received numerous comments, many of which expressed amazement.

“The fantastic thing about this video is that it’s not just good because she’s 10. And it’s not just good because she’s dealing with autism and ADHD,” one YouTube commenter wrote. “It’s good because it’s good ― really good.”

As of Wednesday, the video had more than 250,000 views on Facebook.
